Legendary musician Robert Plant is heading to Halifax next summer with roots-folk band Saving Grace and Suzi Dian. Following the release of the acclaimed Saving Grace: All That Glitters… EP last month and fresh back from a run of US dates, they will bring the Roots & Branch tour to Live at The Piece Hall, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Lincoln Castle.  Robert Plant’s critically-acclaimed Saving Grace: All That Glitters... is out now digitally on Nonesuch Records. The EP, previously released on vinyl for Record Store Day, follows Plant’s 2025 critically acclaimed album, Saving Grace; both feature singer Suzi Dian and a band of musicians from the English countryside that Plant calls home. The EP’s four tracks further explore the folk and Americana songs that Plant and the band love: the traditional tunes The Blackest Crow and Two Coats, Gillian Welch’s Orphan Girl, and Bert Jansch’s Poison. This group of distinguished musicians – vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown – explore the evolution of roots music both vintage and modern. The band members were drawn together by a shared love of roots music – blues, folk, gospel, country, and the sounds that lay in between.
