Emerging new talent AJ Brown is to support Collabro on their 2016 UK tour.
The Soulful singer/songwriter AJ will be the support at all 29 dates of Collabro’s 2016 ‘Act Two’ tour including a night at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 26th March.
It is the group’s second nationwide tour following their win on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 and will see them tour the length and breadth of the country
Speaking about the tour AJ said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I am absolutely delighted the guys from Collabro are welcoming me on their tour.
“I did support them at Betley Concerts this summer which was a wonderful experience but to now be their support on an entire tour is amazing.”
AJ made headlines earlier this year when Rita Ora took to social media sharing and liking a cover AJ had recorded of her song ’Body On Me’.
And no stranger to packed audiences, as well as supporting Collabro at Betley Concerts, AJ spent the summer supporting the likes of Sir Tom Jones, George Benson, Rebecca Ferguson, Marti Pellow, Elaine Paige and The Hallé. Most recently he’s been enjoying a residency at The Pheasantry in London.
The guys from Collabro are delighted to be welcoming AJ, saying: “We are thrilled to welcome AJ Brown as our support act. AJ is a unique and special artist and we are very excited to have him supporting us on tour.”
AJ added: “2015 has been a great year for me as I’ve supported such huge names and people whose talent I admire enormously. To now be announcing that I am the support on Collabro’s nationwide tour is amazing and I can’t wait for all that 2016 will bring.”
The announcement comes just days after AJ announced he would be supporting 2CELLOS at their sell-out gig at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo next month.
AJ hails from Halifax in West Yorkshire and is influenced by the sounds of artists such as Disclosure, Michael Bublé and Lionel Richie but it is his own smooth self-penned lyrics that continue to wow audiences across the UK.
