Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are to stage a special one-off concert in the Lancashire coastal town of Lytham.
The concert will be part of the week-long Lytham Festival from August 1 – 7 with the main headliners performing in the Festival Arena on Lytham Green.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline on Thursday August 4.
Tickets go on general sale at 9am Friday March 4, and are available from www.ticketline.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk
The Lytham gig will mark the first time multi-award winning singer and songwriter Noel has played live on the Lancashire Coast since October 1995 when his former band Oasis performed a now legendary show at Blackpool’s iconic Empress Ballroom on the very day the landmark album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory was released.
The gig is to be organised by promoters Cuffe and Taylor.
Director Peter Taylor said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are to headline the Thursday night at Lytham Festival 2016.
“Noel is without question a British music legend and cultural icon who has written some of the biggest and best anthems of the last 30 years.
“Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is going to be an amazing night for Lytham. The fact this will be Noel’s first appearance on the Fylde Coast since that legendary night in 1995 will make this extra special and so we simply can’t wait for August 4.”
Tickets for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are priced from £45.
